Mint Limeade

The summer officially started here. The beauty of summer is the longer day hours. My eyes feel fascinating when I see the dusky golden rays, touching top of trees, telling them to sleep and dream. Some other drinks in this space are strawberry pear smoothie, white hot chocolate and pumpkin spice latte.

Mint and lime makes a beautiful pair. I made this mint limeade on a bright and delightful sunny day. Thank Lord! that I could take pictures in the radiance of sun.

Servings: 2 (big juice glass)
Ingredients:
Juice from 6 limes
1 ½ cups of cold water
Sugar (as required )
Ice cubes (as required)

Mint Syrup:
A big bunch of fresh mint leaves
2 cups of water
¼ cup of sugar

Topping:
1 lime sliced circular to decorate
Top part of mint leaves with stem

Method:
Make mint syrup first. In a saucepan, mix all ingredients of mint syrup on medium heat, stirring in between. Continue heating till the mixture just starts bubbling. Take off from heat and set aside.

In the serving glasses, divide mint syrup equally. Then add lime juice and cold water. Add sugar to balance the bitterness of lime.

Dip one slice of lime in each glass and add ice cubes if necessary. Carefully cut another lime slice to fit into glass. Insert stem of mint leaves inside the sliced lime. Serve and enjoy…!!
