Hi all...How wz ur weekend? For you, today I have something sweet to share. Ohh...! itz all about customization .... This is my first post on our traditional Indian sweets. I'm really excited to post a customized version of our traditional sweet recipe.
This time we bought a batch of pears. Out of these, I made three dishes - starting from the smoothie and the rest of them will be visiting u soon......
Two days before, we got kaju burfi from our sweet neighbors. It was nice and pretty.....and that made me to think of making burfi's out of my remaining pears. and...not a bad idea.......right :-)?
Makes 7 to 8 , 1.5 inch squares
Ingredients:
Three medium sized Bosc pears
3/4 Cup of sugar (Increased or decreased as per your requirement)
Half cup of milk powder
One teaspoon of milk masala (ground mixture of pistachios, almonds and cardamom)
Method:
Peel, core and cut the pears into small pieces
Heat the pear pieces in a non stick pan on medium and stir fry it till the entire liquid in the pears gets evaporated.
Now turn fire to low . Add milk powder, sugar, milk masala and cook until the mixture comes to slightly thick consistency. I mean...when you move the mixture with your spatula, it should stay there for a while and becomes sticky.
Transfer the mixture to a greased pan and let it cool.
Now chill the mixture for half an hour and cut into desired shapes.
Hope u have enjoyed....... You can adapt this recipe and make your own customization with any kinda similar fruits :-). We finished in one go :D
