Peach Tart

Hi there..... how are u...? When I look at the sky at infinity, I often feel.....like a fur of sheep or sometimes, regularities in irregularities......and at times, as waves in the sea.... and.. is sky a static (not actually) version of sea?.... or are they siblings...........? Okay ...leaving my wild thoughts and coming to the post.....

Recently we got some lovely peaches in our kitchen counter. When those peaches giggled at me and tweeted "Please make some sweetish out of us...." how could I deny that...? So I made this peach tart to serve for the dessert part of our meal. I got the recipe from Baking Secrets from Better Homes and gardens. By Gods grace, it came out well.

Ingredients:
Tart crust
1 cup of all purpose flour
1/4 cup almond flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup butter
4 to 5 tablespoon of water
Butter for greasing
Filling:
4 medium sized peaches
2 large eggs
1/2 cup of granulated white sugar
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/4 cup of almond flour

Method:
Tart crust
Prepare a tart pan and grease butter over it.

Put all dry ingredients into a medium bowl. Slice butter into very small pieces  and with your hand, rub those butter pieces into the dry ingredients. (or blend everything in a pastry blender).

Sprinkle water  in steps until it is well moistened. Knead the dough gently and make a ball of it.

Wrap the dough in a plastic cling and refrigerate for 20 minutes.

Preheat your oven to 3500F  .

Turn the dough ball into a lightly floured (all purpose) surface and roll it and gently press and make it fit into your tart pan and bake for 20 minutes.

Filling:
Slice peaches and macerate it with granulated white sugar and brown sugar and set aside.

In a medium sized bowl, lightly beat the eggs with your wire whisk and add vanilla extract. Fold in the almond flour.

Mix the peaches and egg mixture and pour them over the baked tart crust and carefully arrange the peach slices on the top.

Rise your oven temperature to 4500F and bake for 30 to 35 minutes.

This peach tart have been enjoyed by all of us..... It got finished so fast....and  about the last portion......Anish took it stating "Those peaches will be gloomy if I didn't eat them" and went to his tummy..... :-) . Try and enjoy this peach tart.... :-)

  1. Wow wow... some flowy words about the sky! Here too it is the same though it is getting clearer by the day, normally I am not a fan of the clear summer skies... the tart looks awesome... it's been ages but don't want to bake such a high quantity, as I may end up eating all of it... or else you could parcel me a peice...
